Our Story
Phērashrēk is based north of Los Angeles in the Antelope Valley. Their music has been described as an unholy intermixture of Black Sabbath and The Killers with the power pop vocal harmony sensibilities of Kings X. Their music is about heavy guitars, driving beats and accessible vocal melodies.
Originally named, "Swamp", the name changed to "Phērashrēk" iNo one knows what the name means. The band competed in several "battle of the bands" style shows in its early days and played shows as far as San Bernardino, CA., opening for Stavesacre. The band decided to self produce and came out with the 'Voyeur' record to see if it was possible to make an album. It was. That experience lead them to recording their current 'A Bigger World' release.
